Phil Caldwell is a multi-talented Producer, Engineer and Saxophonist. He has played along side musicians such as Lisa Loeb, Mike Tomaro, Reggie Thomas, Bobby Watson, Rick Haydon, Tom Scott, Shelly Berg, Paul McKee, Buddy DiFranco, Wayne Bergeron, Mike Matheny, and Steve Weist and has opened for the Charlie Daniels Band and been a featured player with the Missouri All-Collegiate Jazz Ensemble, The Lindy Bingham Blues band and the band from "Glee" for 20th Century Fox
Originally from the St. Louis area he moved to LA in 2008 to further his musical experiences and career. Phil Caldwell is a life-long student of music, but a recent graduate of the Musicians Institute's Recording Engineering/Post-Production program. He also studied Music education at Culver-Stockton College, where he played principal Alto saxophone for the symphonic wind ensemble, and Lead Alto for the Jazz Ensemble. He also played Saxophone (Baritone, Tenor and Alto) and wrote music for the Richard Fuller Quintet, an up and coming, orginal Jazz group in St. Louis. The Richard Fuller Quintet has put out one CD on their own as well as contributed to the "Rockers For Life 2007" CD put out by Illumina Records featuring one of their songs "Pessimistic Panda". Phil Caldwell has also played in such groups as The Big River Swing Machine & Dignan.
